25-year-old motorcyclist critically injured in Ibiza crash

A 25-year-old motorcyclist was left in a critical condition on Sunday night following a traffic accident in Sant Josep, according to emergency services (SAMU 061).

The incident occurred at 9.05pm on the road to sa Caleta, around 50 metres before the junction with Camí des Còdols. A passer-by alerted the emergency number 112 after witnessing the serious crash.

Two SAMU 061 ambulances were dispatched to the scene — one advanced life support unit and one basic life support unit. Upon arrival, medical teams treated the rider, who had suffered severe multiple injuries as a result of the impact.

Emergency transfer to Son Espases

After being treated and stabilised at the scene, the young man was taken to Hospital Can Misses with a major trauma protocol activated.

Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later urgently airlifted to Hospital Son Espases in Mallorca for emergency surgery. The transfer was carried out by a SAMU 061 medical helicopter.
