Ibiza National Police fine 68 people and seize a weapon during Easter operations

During the inspections, more than 500 people were identified, and narcotics were also detected

The Policía Nacional in Ibiza has issued fines to 68 individuals and seized a weapon during a series of operations carried out over the Easter period.

Officers from the Local Public Safety Unit, working alongside the Local Police, arrested a total of 27 people in recent weeks as part of the various operations deployed during the Semana Santa festivities.

More than 500 people were identified during the checks conducted across the island. In addition, officers confiscated “various quantities of narcotic substances”, according to police sources, as well as one weapon.

A total of 68 individuals have been proposed for fines for breaching the Public Safety Law, and around 100 vehicles were inspected.

Police stated that all these measures were aimed at ensuring that events and activities took place smoothly and without incident.
