Two serious accidents on the same Ibiza road in 48 hours

Two separate incidents on the road to Platges de Comte have required emergency response teams in recent days, highlighting safety concerns on this stretch of the island’s road network.

The first accident occurred on Sunday, when a grey Renault rental car left the road and overturned after plunging down an embankment. The vehicle ended up upside down after breaking through the safety barrier on a bend. The condition of the driver and any passengers involved has not been disclosed.

The recovery operation was particularly complex, requiring the use of a heavy-duty crane to retrieve the vehicle from several metres below the road.

Second accident

A second incident took place on Monday afternoon in the same area, when a truck overturned. In this case, no serious injuries were reported, although emergency teams were once again deployed to assist and clear the road.

Roadside assistance professionals have stressed the importance of exercising extreme caution when driving, especially on sections where multiple accidents have occurred in a short period of time, in order to ensure the safety of all road users.
